FIC: Que Sera, Sera (tpm100 challenge: faith)
"Another solution will present itself," Qui-Gon said, and deactivated the comlink. Even at this distance, he could feel his padawan's scepticism, his impatience, his fear.

He'd taught Obi-Wan facts, and katas, and how to listen to the Force. But he couldn't teach faith. That lesson came with time, and Qui-Gon could feel his days running ever more swiftly outward, like a river into the sea.

He feared nothing, least of all death. He trusted the Force enough to let go of his own destiny. Whatever happened was meant to be. He only hoped one day Obi-Wan would embrace the lesson.
